RN CPR Services can also offer your school/camp/day care program the following options:

MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION TRAINING COURSE:  (3-4 hours) $45

All licensed child care providers in the state are required to have training in medication administration.

This curriculum, developed by a collaborative team including representatives from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Healthy Child Care Colorado, The Children’s Hospital, and the Colorado Department of Human Services Division of Child Care, is designed to help providers safely administer medications to children in their care. Topics include a medication overview, handling and administration of routine medications, Epi-Pen training, medication orders and documentation, and right and responsibilities.

RN CPR Services pays to register all students on Qualistar's database within 48 hours of completion of the course.  Qualistar Early Learning maintains the database of child care providers who have completed the state approved Medication Administration curriculum taught by approved Medication Administration RN Trainers.

MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION OVERSIGHT WITH RN LICENSE DELEGATION:  Hourly rate on a case by case basis.

Certain programs will require a Registered Nurse to oversee the medication administration and care of children with special medical diagnoses within their program.  In order to administer any medications to a child under your care, you must be license delegated by a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado.  Laurie Laxton, RN, BSN has a few openings left for programs in need of this assistance.  If you require this service, please schedule a consultation with Laurie to determine the needs for your program and discuss options for care and consultation.
